Spode has been a English Porcelain Maker since the Early 19th Century. Chinese Export Fitzhugh was made in the late 18TH and Early 19TH Century which was made for the English Market. It was made in six colors. Since it was very popular Spode in the late 20TH Century reproduced it and was marketed in department stores in the United States as well as all over the world. I believe it was discontinued a few years ago. This is a replica of several chinese export blue fitzhugh shapes. Included are a Fitzhugh teapot and a large Lighthouse Teapot, which could also be used as a coffee pot, helmut creamer and sugarbowls, And 4 demitasse cups and saucers.
