Circa 1894-1900. Exquisite, petite Limoge tea set. Beautiful in every way, from the gracefully shaped porcelain to the fine, delicate hand painting and lavish gilding. Each piece is a small work of art, bursting with color in the form of purple flowers on fine green stems, finished in heavy bright gold gilding, detailed with a fine black line decoration. Fully marked for the fine French porcelain maker Delinieres (D & Co.) mark#3 with the name Frenith in black script on the bottom of all three pieces. Each piece is clearly artist signed "Berger". The decoration and the gilding look very similar to the work of the American decorating company "Pickard" but I can find no references that tie these names to them. All three pieces are in exceptionally fine original condition and would make a fine addition to any home or collection. Tea pot is 5 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" wide handle to spout, creamer is 3 3/4" tall x 5" wide, open sugar bowl is 3 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" wide. Price 425.00 for the set.
