Beautiful little salt-glazed teapot, one of the best I've seen. This is either a child's teapot or a salesman's miniature sample. It has a cream body with self embosses pattern of daisies around the top and wicker to the lower area. Pewter hinged lid with sea-serpent finial. Internal filter holes to spout. Impressed capital letter R underneath. Excellent condition. Item measures 9.9 cm high by 12.8 cm wide handle to spout and a body of 7.8 cm diameter. Mid 1800s.
