A rare Caughley miniature teapot handpainted with the island pattern. They are a real delight to study and hold. This little teapot has suffered a little during its life. There is a fine spiralling body crack which appears old and is quite possibly a result of thermal fracture, also a small section of the lid inner rim missing. This is a fine example that deserves to have survived and still displays beautifully. Marked with the printed Salopian 'S'. Measures 7.5 cms high overall.
