A fine Worcester globular teapot C 1770 finely painted with large floral sprays to each side and individual flower sprigs all below an iron red and gold border. The lid painted with flower sprigs with a beautifully moulded flower and leaf finial. Apart from a crack to one petal on the finial and minute nibbles to the ends of the petals this Worcester teapot shows little signs of use, the enamels have only one or two minor small scratches. A truely fine example of a first period Worcester teapot. Measures 15.5 cms high.
