Victorian, date cipher for 1871 Minton Majolica chestnut server in the form of a footed circular dish. A partial dome molded as chestnuts and chestnut leaves covers half the dish. Scalloped rim decorated with stylized snowdrops. Scroll handle. Turquoise interior. Two stilt marks inside the foot along with impressed ''MINTON'' maker''s marks, ''594'' and date cipher for 1871. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Old restoration to front section of rim, underside of handle and tip of one chestnut shell. 6ins high by 11ins diameter
