Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica bread platter decorated with ferns and leaves on mauve ground, around a brown and green mottled center. Ochre handles and beaded pattern around the rim. Mottled brown reverse with cream glaze inside the foot rim. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No flakes. Slight wear to rim and interior. Kiln effects: couple of pieces of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to interior. Small firing pit to rim. Over glazed manufacture chip to foot rim. Restored under rim chip. 10.75ins by 14.5ins
