Victorian, circa 1870 Large Majolica oyster platter with twelve shell shaped wells, alternately glazed in pink and turquoise, with cockle shells on brown ground. Central oval, mottled well surrounded by dolphins. Ochre border around the rim. Mottled reverse with four feet, each in the form of a cockle shell. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Some wear to the feet, front and around the rim. Kiln effect: slightly warped. 14ins by 15ins wide
