Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica oval strawberry server decorated with strawberry fruits, leaves and flowers in relief on turquoise ground. Ochre rim with a hole at either end for sugar and creamer (neither present). Mottled reverse. Impressed pattern registration diamond, painted pattern number ''3217 40'' in reserve and GJ monogram inside the foot. Good. No cracks. No chips. No flakes. Slight staining to center. Kiln effect: small firing pit to center. Repaired hairline to hole rim. 11.5ins by 15ins wide
