Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica strawberry server in the form of a quatrefoil basket. Mossy textured brown, green and turquoise ground decorated with strawberry plant leaves and flowers. Naturalistic twig molding around the rim, which also forms the handle. Four twig molded feet to underside. Mottled green and brown glazes to underside with stilt marks, impressed maker''s mark and pattern registration diamond. Good. No restoration. No hairlines. Some wear to interior. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack to the rim; small glaze miss to flower and rim; slight staining to interior; glaze accumulation to the underside, patchy glazing to rim. 7.5ins high, 11.5ins wide
