Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica platter decorated with a fruiting and flowering cucumber plant. Baby cucumber molded at one end to act as a handle. Mottled underside with three stilt marks, molded figure of 8 tablet with ''GJ'' monogram ''STOKE ON TRENT'' and painted ''2563'' pattern number inside the foot. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Some tiny rim flakes. Slight wear to interior and underside. Restoration to handle flower. Restored chip to flower at opposite end. 8.5ins by 16.75ins wide
