Circa 1880 French Limoge Haviland Beautiful Porcelain serving dish. This just came out of a New York Estate. On the back of this piece are the initials of CH, which is Charles Haviland. A very Beautiful piece in Excellent Condition. This mark is rarely seen. This mark in combination with Green CFH (CHARLES FIELD HAVILAND) over G D M (Gerard Dufraisseix and Morel) mark that was used from 1882 to 1890, The CFH cipher in that case was hand painted in dark red, so assumed it was a decorator's mark. This Hand painted scene of early couple sitting in the forest with both with a romantic adoring look with wonderful costume and flowers. This piece is signed in the scene "gragonard". It also has the Haviland mark on the back that with the "C" engulfed in a "H" with the "H" having streamers. Measures 15" X 9 1/2"
