Circa 1850 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Tazza/Compote with knurled edges around the top with alternating figures of people in a garden scene and rose canton panels of birds, flowers roses and greenery. This beautiful and unusual piece also has celadon ground under the painting of these scenes. The rippled edges on the top part are very unusual and not often seen especially with the gilded edges. The diameter is 9 1/4" and the total height is 4 1/8". The base has a nice rose canton band going around at the bottom of this exquisite piece of chinese export rose medallion, celadon and rose canton mixture.
