Curca 1820-1840 Chinese Export A very RARE orange Fitzhugh Platter measuring 16" x 13". Fresh out of a very important Estate in Charlottesville, Virginia--"The home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello". This platter is not in Pristine Condition. The platter had black firing marks on it which was done in the making of this beautiful old Fitzhugh Platter. Additional images are available upon request. The images shown below show the sections that have these black marks. There were a couple of nicks on the rim of this platter when we purchased the platter. The nick was restored. In the process of the making of this platter the images will show black pitted marks which happened in the firing in the kiln when they were made in the Early 1800's.
