Charles Ahrenfeldt& Son porcelain vanity tray, decorated in Altrohla circa 1890. "1886 the decorating studio was established operated by Charles Ahrenfeldt & Son in Altrohlau, Bohemia, Austria. It was called a porcelain factory, though porcelain was never produced there. It was sometimes called Carlsbad China Factory and the product was advertised as "Altrohla Ware." The green mark on the back was used 1886-1925. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 17" handle to handle and stands 1" high. Vibrant pink, blue, green, and yellow floral patterns with a gold outer rim. The date on the back of 1883 is likely when the actual tray was made, and then it was later decorated.
