Platter in Imari pattern made by Derby, predecessor of Royal Crown Derby, England, between 1782 and 1820.Measures 16 1/4inches accross.One of a set of 3 platters (the others are 13inch and 19 3/4inches respectively)Rounded rectangular shape with frilly edges, bordered by a gold line with moulded shells on the edge. Iron red and gold flowers with blue scrolling stems form the border pattern. The well of the platter is painted in the same palette of iron red, cobalt blue and gold in a stylised floral pattern.The back has the standard factory mark for 1782-1820.Condition is good considering the age of the piece. There are some minor surface scratches, some crazing, and age lines (not cracks), but no chips/cracks/damage of any sort.
