Victorian, date cipher for 1871 Wedgwood Majolica reticulated pictorial plate. Circular green center depicting a lady holding a bowl of fruit aloft, surrounded by a band of yellow ribbon and vine decoration on blue ground. Ochre rim around a brown reticulated border. Cream reverse with three stilt marks. Impressed maker''s marks ''WEDGWOOD'', ''S'' and date cipher ''AWZ'' for April 1871 inside the foot rim. Generally good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Bruise to under rim. Minor flaking to rim and under rim. Slight wear to the front. Kiln effect: crazing to the green center. 8.75ins diameter
