20thC, date cipher for April 1934 Wedgwood Majolica grape and strawberry plate decorated with green strawberry leaves, pink flowers and strawberries, and purple grapes on yellow ground. Brown twig molded rim. Ochre reverse with three stilt marks. Impressed maker''s marks ''WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND'' and date cipher ''4U34'' for April 1934 inside the foot. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Slight wear to front and reverse. Kiln effect: fine kiln soot caught in the white glaze to the flowers. 9ins diameter
