Victorian, date cipher for 1870 Wedgwood Majolica daisy plate. Mottled green, ochre and brown center with dimple border surrounded by daisy heads on cobalt backing. Green diamond border inside ochre rim. Cream reverse with three stilt marks. Impressed ''WEDGWOOD'' maker''s mark inside the foot along with pattern registration diamond and three letter date cipher ''GBY'' for 1870. Very good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Very slight wear to the center. Kiln effect: tiny glaze pop to the center. 8.75ins diameter
