Victorian, date cipher for 1879 Wedgwood Majolica plate decorated with three birds each perched on a flowering branch on turquoise ground, separated by three cream fans. Cobalt and brown rim. Mottled reverse with three stilt marks. Impressed ''WEDGWOOD'', date cipher ''AIH'' for 1879, impressed pattern registration diamond and painted pattern number ''2792'' inside the foot rim. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. One tiny rim flake. Slight wear to the reverse. Two small glaze misses to one of the turquoise panels. Slight staining to one of the fans. 9.25ins diameter
