Very rare pate sur pate plate from the Belle Epoch or 1900 era. Very Art Nouveau feel and design. The woman appears to eat cherries out of a basket. Look at the lovely Art Nouveau hair piece. Great period Pate sur Pate piece. Pate-Sur-Pate, which means paste-on-paste, is a technique where relief decorations are built up on a ceramic body by layering several applications of slip, one on the other, until the desired result is achieved.
