Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica oyster plate with six fish head wells surrounding a central well molded as a turquoise and cream flower. Gray ground with impressed arrow head pattern. Green and gray washed underside. Impressed mark ''R'' and painted mark inside the foot. Similar piece illustrated on page 10 & 130, Schiffer''s ''Collecting Oyster Plates'' by Jeffrey B. Snyder. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. Very slight wear to central well and ochre border. 9.25ins diameter
