This is an extra large and very beautiful Japanese charger that features two Phoenix birds, flower blossoms, leaves, and a iquezara border. The mark is blue under the glaze with 12 characters in an under glaze blue square. You can see it in the 2nd picture in the lower left hand side of back side of the charger. The blue pattern is transferred to the porcelain using woodblock prints, a process known as ''inban.'' The transfer on this piece is extraordinary. Condition: very good; Circa: 1930 c.; Heigth: 1.5 in. (3.81 cm); Width: 14.5 in. (36.83 cm)
