Circa 1850 Chinese Export Bird and Butterfly and sometimes referred to as 1000 Bird and Butterfly 6 3/8" Bread and Butter Plate. This plate along with a identical 5" plate in this pattern that I have ever seen before. In addition to that the first firing of the outer border is pure gold. The quality of the butterflies is the best that I have seen. There are more butterflies in this pattern that I have seen and that must be how it became named "1000 Butterflies". Excellent Condition.
