Circa 1820 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Exact Pair of luncheon plates measuring 8" in diameter. Rarely do you find a exact pair of plates in rose mandarin. Most of the time it is a similar pair. Both of these plates are fabulous in every way. They were recently purchased out of a New York Estate. This size plate is often referred to as a dessert or luncheon plate. Excellent Mandarin Quality in in Very Good Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The colors are fantastic and bright. Very minimal wear which is rare for a plate 200 years old. Typical mandarin scenes of five ladies in a court yard scene. Nice and abundant gold in the hair. The border of the plate is decorated with roses, butterflies and other greenery with a gilded rim.
