Circa 1820 Chinese Export Pair of Orange Fitzhugh Platters measuring 16" X 13". Fresh out of a very important estate in Charlottesville, Virginia--The home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello. Both of these platters have black marks on them which was done in the making of these beautiful old fitzhugh platters. There are eight images that we are showing on this one platter(Platter #1) of the pair, illustrating these firing marks. There were a couple chips on the rim of each platter that we have had professionally restored. The other platter has been listed separately, so the images of each platter and black marks can be viewed. We are willing to sell these platters separately or as a pair. We also have priced both as individually or as the pair. Very Reasonably I might Add. Single Orange Fitzhugh Platters of this size and in good condition usually sell for $6500.00, and a matching pair from the same estate is unheard of.
