Circa 1800 Chinese Export luncheon plate measuring 7 3/4". Very Good Condition. This plate was made for the American market. The border is nicely decorated in blue and gold. In the central portion of the plate is the drape and shield with a american eagle in the center at the top of the eagle with the drape on top. Of course there is some wear in this decoration as this plate is over 200 years old. Their is a initial in the middle of the shield which is a "B". Chinese Export Plates with armorial crests and the drape and shield pattern especially with a eagle centralized are very rare. At the moment, other than this plate the only item we have with a Eagle is a Green Fitzhugh Plate.
