Exquisite rich impasto gilt work on these fine porcelain chargers. Actually, several applications of gold. Made by Royal Doulton for J. Caldwell & Co., one of Philadelphia's finest names in retail luxury items. The floral design is raised, there are charming beads embellishing the elegant belle epoch linear design work. Condition is very good for these plates. One has some crazing. The wear to all is quite minimal considering the age, circa 1940-1950. One small scratch on the white ground of one plate. In all, a most elegant set to provide your family and guests the finest dining experience.
