Fabulous set of 10 dinner plates all hand painted and gilt by Ambrosius Lamm, 1887-1949. This set made prior to 1920. The white ground spectacularly painted with red roses and the gilding! So sumptuous is the elaborate gilt work comprised of lattices, scrolling foliate accents, heavy gold 'beads' with multiple gold linear edges. Condition is excellent. there is some very minor loss to the gilt along the sides of the plates; but no loss at all to the tops. Clearly a well cared for set!
