19th Century French Palissy crab charger. Palissy Ware is admired for smooth glazes in richly colored enamels. Depicting a relief sculpted crab, decorated rustic ware; a type of earthenware covered with coloured lead glazes. It is unmarked, artist unknown. 13" diameter, excellent condition.
