This is a very large plate covered in a white slip on a reddish body both inside and out to the flat footrim and would date to the 19thc probably early.
The decoration in turquoise and black is that of a ewer surrounded by leafy branches. There are two borders the outer being the slip surrounded by a black border resembling a Chinese ruyi.
The plate is in excellent order, shows the three spur marks typical of this ware and has a diameter of 16.5in. or 41.5cm.This is from the same collection as the others and is quite different to the better known Canakkale ceramics but is absolutely correct.
