Presented is a fine French hand painted CHOISY LE ROI faience plate of a mallard duck with a small frog, 19th century signed HB etC (for Hippolyte Boulenger & Cie,and Choisy Le Roi on reverse.
The Choisy animal plates are extremely desirable and rare. This lovely example is in excellent condition. Please see companion plate pheasant offered here also.
Dimensions: 8.5 inches Diameter
Condition: Excellent, no frits,or hairlines. Wear typical of the period.
