All that glitters IS gold on these plates! Tons of it, wide wide swathe of etched gilt border on a white ground. The plates, 10.5" diameter, are shaped and formed in a sinuous manner. each has a floral bouquet in the center portion of the plate. Condition is good; there is some minor loss to the gild as well as a few small smudge marks. Of course, the amount of gold is so exorbitant, it isn't so easy to find the imperfections.
