A First Period Worcester Porcelain Blue-Ground Exotic Bird decorated Cake Plate, Circa 1770. The saucer dish form is decorated with a wet blue ground. ;The central circular reserve is painted with two exotic birds standing on green grass and with a tall flowering plant rising above them from behind. ;Surrounding the reserve is a circular thin gilt band from which issues twenty one gilt arches with tapering supports in a very distinctive design.
