Victorian, circa 1870 Minton Majolica salt which features ring handles and lion paw feet. Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, pink, ochre, are predominant. The piece bears makers marks for the Minton pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870. Book reference not found. Very good. No restoration. Almost nil wear. Kiln effects: tiny glaze pops around the side; overglazed chips to the underside; thin glaze application to patches on the inside 2.6ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth
