Victorian, circa 1870 Large Majolica jardiniere and stand. Jardiniere decorated in deep relief, with oak leaves and acorns on a lilac ribbon. Cobalt ground. Lilac border around the rim. Green interior with drainage hole and three stilt marks to interior at base. Stand in the form of a bowl with three scroll feet, each with a horned mask molded to the front. Ochre underside with vent hole behind each foot. Generally good. Jardiniere: Small rim chip. Slight wear to interior and cobalt ground. Repaired rim crack. Stand: Flake and some wear to inside edge. Stained crazing to interior. Kiln effect: over glazed shrinkage line to mouth of one mask. Restored chips to feet. 21.25ins high, 16.25ins diameter
