Circa 1840 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Cache Pot with original undertray. The undertray is rose canton which is the way they were made. The undertrays get a lot of abuse and are usually not decorated in rose medallion or rose mandarin but are decorated in rose canton. The cache pot is 3 1/2" in height and 4 1/2" in diameter at the top. The undertray is 4 3/4" in diameter. Decorated nicely with rose medallion figures in court scenes. No chips, cracks or restoration. Their is also a drain hole in the bottom of the cache pot for the excess water to drain.
