For Sale is a wonderful Matte Green Ferner made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is known as " Ceramic Design" and it is done in the most Popular Matt Green Glaze. This is a wonderful Arts and Crafts Shaped Ferner. The Planter Stands 3 1/16" tall and is 5 1/4" in diameter. The Ferner displays the most Popular Matt Green Glaze. The piece is supported by 3 column shaped legs which are concave or Hollow on the interior and resemble Buttress Supports. The legs are molded right into the form and are not applied. The Ferner is unsigned but it can be seen in the reference book by Jack and Nancy Bomm "Roseville in All Its Splendor" page 90, center top row. This is a wonderful Arts and Crafts shaped Matt Green Ferner. The Ferner is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no issues to report. This is known as mold or shape number 204-3 in Roseville's Catalog pages. This is a splendid matte green vase produced by Roseville Pottery in their early years. Those of you who collect Roseville's Matte Green Line and want an excellent example of this form and glaze, look no further. This will be a wonderful addition to any Teco, Hampshire, or Grueby Matte Green Pottery Collection. This also would look just wonderful on that Stickley, Mission, Arts and Crafts style Bookcase. This piece was made in the early 1900's, circa 1900-1905.
