Victorian, circa 1870 Wedgwood Majolica pitcher decorated with a fruiting hops branch on cobalt ground. Ochre band around the rim. Handle in the form of a branch. Turquoise interior. Four holes around the top where originally, there would have been a pewter lid attached. Cream underside with stilt marks, impressed pattern registration diamond and ''WEDGWOOD'' maker''s mark. Generally good. No chips. Some wear to the cobalt ground. Repaired crack and three repaired hairlines to rim. Repaired hairline to underside which is still visible running approx 0.5ins up both sides of the base. Restored flake to spout. 6.5ins high
