Victorian, circa 1900 Majolica pitcher decorated with a stork and bulrushes on either side. Square neck with geometric pattern around the exterior. Cobalt ground, dark pink interior. Cream underside with three stilt marks, inscribed ''Made in England'', and a painted mark. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Two small flakes to the handle. Slight wear to the cobalt ground. Kiln effects: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the rim and ochre glazes; thin glaze patch to interior; some cobalt and dark green glaze run. Retouched flakes to rim. Restored chip to foot rim. 7.5ins high
