Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica pitcher decorated with a leaping fish on both sides. Cobalt ground, with seaweed moldings around the base. Handle molded in the form of a fish. Ochre band around the rim. Pink interior. Ochre underside with three stilt marks and a painted mark. Generally good. No cracks. Flaking around the rim, and one flake to bottom of the handle. Wear to exterior and handle. Kiln effects: small shrinkage line to the rim; star shaped shrinkage line to the underside, not visible on interior. Repaired hairline to rim. Restored chip to spout. 7.25ins high
