Victorian, circa 1870 Large Wedgwood Majolica pitcher with white bulbous body and a band of blue daisies on turquoise ground around the neck. Ribbed green border adorned with ochre daisies to the handle, and around the rim and base. White interior. White underside with impressed maker''s marks and painted pattern number ''M 1552''. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No flakes. Slight wear to edge of handle and white exterior ground. Kiln effect: very fine kiln soot caught in the glaze to the white exterior. Small restored chip to base edge. 11ins high
