Victorian, circa 1880 George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features a flowering sprig of wild roses. Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, pink, are predominant. Bears a pattern number, ''3467''. English diamond registration mark for the date 18/12/1875. Book reference Good. Bruise to one flower petal. Some wear to the sides. Wear to the interior. Filled holes to either side of the handle, where a pewter lid once was mounted. Stabilized and retouched crack to the underneath, which continues 1inch up the side 8.3ins high, 7.1ins wide, 5.9ins depth
