Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica wheat pitcher. Decorated with wheat ears and leaves on turquoise ground. Ochre rope effect around the rim, foot rim and entwined around the handle. Pink interior. Pink underside with three stilt marks, impressed GJ monogram and painted ''1806''. Good. Tight hairline to rim. No chips. Slight wear to exterior. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack where top of handle attaches to pitcher; glaze pops to bottom of handle; some green glaze run around the base. Restored bruise to rim. 7ins high
