Victorian, circa 1870 Copeland Majolica four paneled pitcher. Each panel decorated with a pink and white lotus flower and a large green leaf. Gray ground with impressed pattern. Cobalt archways around each panel. Diamond shaped neck. Brown studded border around the rim and to the handle. Turquoise interior. Cream underside with impressed maker''s marks ''N80'', ''K'', ''18s'', ''4.GILL'' and ''COPELAND''. Raised pattern registration diamond. Similar piece illustrated on page 118, Abrams ''Majolica A complete History and illustrated Survey'' by Karmason & Stacke. Very good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Kiln effect: green glaze run from the leaves. 7.5ins high
