Circa 1840-1875 Chinese Export Paneled Scalloped Pitcher measuring 6" in height to the tip of spout and 6 1/4" from spout to the top highest part of handle. This is a form that we have had in rose medallion several times and we have seen in canton and fitzhugh. But this pattern is so different than those and is really beautiful. It is absolutely fabulous. Decorated in a underglaze Yellow with greenery and pink roses and other flowers with birds and butterflies. Other colors in the mix are turquuoise. The molded spout and the rim at the top are nicely gilded.
