Circa 1820-1840 Chinese Export Rare Nanking in Blue Cider Jug with Original Cover. Nicely applied woven double strapped handles with splotching. Nice blue color. Nanking was made for the English Market. Some people confuse the blue and white especially nanking and canton. The easiest way to distinguish the two are as follows: Nanking has a person on the bridge and Canton has no one on the bridge. This jug is very well painted scenes with a bird,pagodas and a boat in the water bearing a flag and a oriental figure. 10" in height and 6" in diameter. No chips, cracks or any other imperfections or Restoration.
