Rare ‘Rodney Sailor’ toby jug, modeled as a man on a seachest with an anchor at his feet, a jug & mug in his hands, with a wide had decorated with unusual sponged brown flowers, the coat, base and back with imitation of a Wheildon-type glaze.

References: Provenance: purchased from UK via John Unitt, late 1970. This is a later take on a Wood type model, with unusual stamped flower hat decoration.
Condition: Good condition, some staining to crazing, fading to the black of his shoes.
