Decorative mid century Saxbo Scandinavian Pottery ewer in a good brown matte glaze. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage, or repair of any kind. Bottom marked Saxbo, yin-yang shop mark, and artist signed by Eva Sonne Bunn. Ms. Sonne was associated with Saxbo for many years and specialized in complex glazes. Ewer is 8" tall and 5" wide. Saxbo was established in Denmark in 1930 and is widely recognized as one of the finest independent ceramic workshops in Scandinavia. Saxbo continued to produce high quality art pottery until 1968 when founder Nathalie Krebs retired and destroyed all the molds, designs, and glaze formulas.
