Blue Glaze Jug - AMD.52, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 1400 AD, Dimensions: 7.8" (19.8cm) high x 5.1" (13.0cm) wide, Collection: Islamic Art, Medium: Glazed Earthenware. The frit body is ob baluster form, with a sloping shoulder and a straight cylindrical neck, with an attached strap handle. This jug is made of composite white fritware. It is covered in a turquoise blue glaze, which stops short of the foot-ring. The decoration is painted, not splashed. Three black lines are painted on the mouth, body and foot of the jug. The handle is undulated and is decorated with two dots.
